The School is registered to accept Overseas Students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Please read through the information below, as well as the Overseas Student Policies and Fee Information available in the resources section on the left of this page.

Overseas Students enrolled at Georges River Grammar are governed by the ESOS Act 2000 and the National Code – https://internationaleducation.gov.au/Regulatory-Information/Pages/National-Code-2018-Factsheets-.aspx


We offer the following courses:

  • Primary School Studies (Kindergarten to Year 6) (020998E)
  • Junior Secondary School Studies (Years 7 to 10) (005000D)
  • Senior Secondary School Studies (Years 11 and 12) (005001C)

All courses are conducted on site at Georges River Grammar.

 
Overseas Student Accommodation Requirement
Overseas Students are required to live with a blood relative (approved by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection) who will act as their legal guardian and can prove that appropriate accommodation and welfare has been arranged for the student, which is required as part of the Overseas Student Subclass 500 visa application. This blood relative must be at least 21 years of age.

GRG does not accept Home Stay arrangements.


Applications must be submitted by Parents or Legal Guardians
Georges River Grammar only accepts Overseas Student applications that have been completed and signed by BOTH of the student’s Parents or Legal Guardians.

Applications via an Education Agent
Please note that Georges River Grammar only accepts Overseas Student applications from our established partner agencies with whom we have a written agreement. No commission will be paid to any agency, without a prior written agreement in place. If you are an agent interested in applying on behalf of a client, please contact enrolments@grg.nsw.edu.au for advice before proceeding.

We accept applications submitted and signed directly by the student’s Parents or Legal Guardians. Agents may opt to assist Parents through this application process; however, no commission will be paid to any agency without a prior written agreement with Georges River Grammar.


Enrolment Process for Overseas Students
This information is relevant to students seeking to study at Georges River Grammar as an Overseas Student on a Subclass 500 visa. Overseas Students who are Australian citizens or who will be residing in Australia as a Temporary Resident (TR) or Permanent Resident (PR) should apply to the School as a local student.

To be considered for enrolment at the School, Overseas Students are required to:

  1. Submit a completed online Enrolment Application Form, signed by BOTH Parents (or Legal Guardians)
  2. Pay the non-refundable Enrolment Application fee of AUD$200.
  3. Provide a copy of the student’s birth certificate, translated into English and certified.
  4. Provide a copy of the information page from the student’s passport.
  5. Provide a copy of the student’s two (2) latest school reports (full year), translated into English (if required) and certified.
  6. Prospective Secondary Students must provide a certificate of English fluency from the Australian Education Assessment Service (AEAS) – https://www.aeas.com.au/

Year 7 and 8 – Intermediate, AEAS score of 46-60
Year 9, 10 and 11 – Intermediate, AEAS score of 61-70
 
In addition to the AEAS certificate, English proficiency for Secondary Students will also be assessed at time of interview.

  1. Students enrolling in the Primary School are not required to provide an AEAS certificate of English fluency, instead, their English proficiency will be assessed at time of interview.
  2. If applicable, provide contact information of the blood relative the student will be living with while in Australia, who will act as the student’s Legal Guardian.
  3. If applicable, provide evidence of the blood relation of this Guardian to the student. For example, by providing copies of birth certificates, translated into English and certified.

Next steps:

  1. Once all requested documentation has been received and verified by the School, the School will determine if a position is available.
  2. If no position is available, the student will be placed on a waitlist.
  3. If a position is available, the student will be invited to attend an interview with the Principal, or their appointed delegate, before an offer of enrolment can be determined. This interview can be done virtually if the student is not already in Australia. All enrolment offers are at the discretion of the Principal.
  4. A Provisional Acceptance letter is provided by the School, which will outline any conditions that must be met prior to a Confirmation of Enrolment being issued.
  5. A Provisional Acceptance Fee of AUD$1,200.00 is required to be paid, to hold a position for the student. This fee is non-refundable (unless a Student Visa is not granted) and will be credited to the school fees account when the student is fully accepted.
  1. A Written Agreement is issued by the School. This must be signed by the Student and their Parent/s or Legal Guardian.
  1. Upon receipt of the signed Written Agreement, and payment of the AUD$1,200.00 Provisional Acceptance Fee, a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be issued by the School’s Enrolments Registrar.
  2. A copy of the Student Visa (Subclass 500) documentation, along with the student’s Overseas Student Health Cover certificate, is sent to enrolments@grg.nsw.edu.au for verification.
  1. A final Offer of Enrolment is issued via the School’s online enrolment platform, Digistorm. The Parent/s or Legal Guardian signs this Acceptance Form and pays a non-refundable Enrolment Administration Fee, relevant to the year the student is enrolling into:
    Kindergarten to Year 6 = AUD$2,970.00
    Years 7 to 10 = AUD$3,180.00
    Years 11 to 12 = AUD$3,390.00

 
School Fees
School fees and other charges are subject to change and may vary from year to year. Any increase in fees during the period of study will apply to both new and continuing students. The Overseas Student School fees are available here.
